Is it possible to attach an attack to an LFO? To create realistic vibrato?

Is it possible (and if so how?) to assign an envelope or attack value to an LFO so a vibrato effect can be triggered realistically with around a 1 second attack time?

as i go through the bindings i see that there are different types and one of them is modulatorindex. a lfo and an envelope are both modulators, so yes.

personally i'd try to get the vibrato controlled via midi cc though. the envelope seems to be a little fixed then, though better than vibrato directly from the start
