I had first downloaded decent sampler with version 1.9.11 to use when working in Musescore 4. When version 1.11.11 came out, I was met with a screen telling me that a new version is available. I went and downloaded it, yet the version in Musescore 4 was still version 1.9.11. I then decided to wait until the next update. Now when I download version 1.12.6, it will still not update within Musescore 4.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about these issues! Have tried uninstalling DecentSampler altogether and then reinstalling it? 

If you are on Windows, you should be able to use Add and Remove Programs to uninstall it (or the Uninstall DecentSampler program in your Start Menu). 

If you're on Mac, you'll have to manually delete the files in question. There's a guide for doing that here.

Once you've uninstalled Decent Sampler, a fresh reinstall of 1.12.6 should fix your issue.
