I'm using buttons to activate groups in an instrument, and would like to use physical buttons on a controller to turn buttons on and off. The volume faders work great with cc (<control elements), but buttons don't seem to respond.
One other thing:
I made a menu for presets that turn 7 different group buttons on and off, which works great. Although MIDI cc messages do change the menu states, the menu doesn't function (change the state of the buttons) in that case.
