I'm creating a drum sample pack for Decent Sampler.
It would be super helpful if when I hover over one of the keys on the keyboard, it displayed an info tip, such as Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat, etc. I think such an info tip would be useful for atonal instruments such as percussion kits.
If you wanted to go hog wild, you could offer a 4x4 or 6x6 keypad layout (similar to the Akai MPC, Native Instruments Maschine, Novation Launchpad, etc.) AND enable us to overlay the pads with icons to represent the different sounds. For example, overlay a kick drum icon over the pad assigned to play the kick drum sound. Crazy, I know, right?! =)
