sample rendering not working right

Running Windows 10 with ASIO drivers, for some reason my samples (at 48khz) won't render correctly.  Other instruments are working, but my particular .wav files are distorted/tinny/detuned.  This is not happening in Sforzando or Kontakt.

I can submit samples if you want to try.  It possible works well on other platforms.
