Description
The Sawblade Kalimba is a simple kalimba that Simon the Magpie made. He did his best to tune it, and we further tuned it properly for this instrument. The timbres are similar to a standard kalimba, but the form and material of the jigsaw blades imparts a lot of unique overtones for a more ringy feel than a typical kalimba.
The sample library works with the free Decent Sampler player plugin. Download it here.

Haven’t used it in a project yet but if it’s anywhere near everything else I’ve used from Descent Samples, I’ll be using it soon. In general D.S. is a great resource for home recorders like me (I just wish there were more good brass and woodwind for this platform): the D.S. ‘player’ is great and I use it all the time with my xylosynth and DAW. Thanks for your work Mr. Hilowitz!

David, you are the creative ‘bomb’. Thanks for everything you have done to foster , support and supply the electronic music production community. I love and rely on
Decent Sampler in my own abstract electronica and singer/songwriter career. Thanks!
